Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lemon, zested and juiced

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let them rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until a nice golden crust forms and they are just cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C). Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the pan and let it melt. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously to prevent burning.

Add Herbs and Lemon: Stir in the rosemary and thyme, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant. Then add the lemon zest and juice, mixing everything to combine.

Return the Pork Chops: Place the pork chops back into the skillet, spooning the garlic herb butter over them. Let them cook together for another minute, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serve: Plate the pork chops and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
