Ingredients

2 lobster tails

8 large sea scallops

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Ingredients: Begin by thawing the lobster tails and scallops if they are frozen. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Prepare the Lobster Tails: Using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the top of the lobster shell, stopping just before the tail. Gently pull apart the shell and lift the lobster meat above it but keep it attached at the base.

Season the Seafood: Sprinkle salt, pepper, and paprika over both the lobster and scallops. Set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the lemon juice and half of the chopped parsley.

Sear the Scallops: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of garlic butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Lobster Tails: In the same skillet, place the lobster tails cut side up and pour half of the garlic butter over them. Sear for about 5 minutes on medium heat, then carefully flip them over for another 2 minutes to cook the underside. The lobster should be opaque and firm.

Combine and Serve: Return the scallops to the skillet with the lobster and pour over the remaining garlic butter. Cook together for another minute on low heat to combine flavors.

Garnish and Plate: Transfer the lobster tails and scallops to a serving plate. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the skillet over the top and garnish with the remaining parsley and lemon wedges.
