Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm water (about 110°F)

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (for additional flavor)

Additional melted butter for brushing on top

Instructions

Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Make Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center, pour in the yeast mixture, and melted butter. Stir to combine until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

Prepare Garlic Butter: While the dough is rising, melt the remaining butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic, parsley, and garlic powder. Remove from heat and let it infuse for about 10-15 minutes.

Shape Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.

Second Rise: Place the shaped rolls into a greased baking dish, spacing them slightly apart. Cover with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake Rolls: Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped.

Brush with Garlic Butter: Remove the rolls from the oven and immediately brush them with the prepared garlic butter. Let them cool slightly before serving.
