Ingredients

1 ½ pounds ground beef

1 onion, finely chopped

1 cup French onion dip

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion over medium heat until it becomes translucent and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooled caramelized onions, French onion dip, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until well combined, but do not overmix.

Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a lightly greased baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven and sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese evenly over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once cooked, let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
