    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugars: In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

        Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture until well combined.
