Ingredients

1 bag (10 oz) of Doritos (nacho cheese flavor)

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup refried beans

1 cup salsa

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)

1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then add the taco seasoning according to packet instructions (usually 3/4 cup water). Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

In a 9-inch pie dish, layer half of the Doritos on the bottom to create a crust-like layer.

Spread the refried beans over the Dorito base, followed by the seasoned ground beef.

Pour the salsa evenly over the beef, spreading it to cover all areas.

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the salsa layer, followed by another layer of remaining Doritos.

Top off with the rest of the shredded cheese, ensuring it covers the Doritos.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before slicing.

Serve each slice drizzled with sour cream, and sprinkle with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, and fresh cilantro for garnish.
