Ingredients

4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

Salt and pepper to taste

4 beef cutlets (around 1 inch thick)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup breadcrumbs

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Potatoes: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the potatoes evenly.

Layer the Potatoes: In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the seasoned potato mixture. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Next, layer the remaining potato mixture and top it off with the remaining cheese.

Bake the Potatoes: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.

Prepare the Beef Cutlets: While the potatoes are baking, season the beef cutlets with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.

Cook the Cutlets: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the beef cutlets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. For an added crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on the cutlets during the last couple of minutes of cooking.

Serve: Once both the scalloped potatoes and beef cutlets are ready, serve them hot on a plate. Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.

                Prep Time: 30 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Plate the scalloped potatoes on one side adorned with a sprinkle of thyme, and arrange the beef cutlets beside them, drizzling a little of the juices from the pan over the cutlets for extra flavor. Enjoy!
