Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but be careful not to burn.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until they turn pink. Season with salt and black pepper.

Pour in the heavy cream, and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until combined.

Stir in the Gruyère cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Remove from heat and fold in the lemon zest and chopped parsley.

Pour the shrimp mixture into a greased baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the remaining Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the shrimp gratin.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Once done, let it sit for 5 minutes before serving for the best texture.
