Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream

1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup (50g) shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup (60g) breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Shrimp: In a skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp just turn pink, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice.

Make the Cream Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, half of the Parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Stir well to mix.

Combine and Assemble: Add the cooked shrimp and garlic mixture to the cream mixture. Stir until the shrimp are well coated. Transfer the shrimp mixture to a gratin dish or a baking dish.

Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Melt the remaining butter and drizzle over the breadcrumb mixture, stirring to combine.

Top it Off: Evenly spread the breadcrumb mixture over the shrimp in the gratin dish.

Bake: Place the gratin dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
