Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp lemon zest

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream, lemon zest, and half of the Gruyère cheese. Stir well to mix.

In a baking dish, layer the cooked shrimp evenly, then pour the creamy cheese mixture over the top.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, remaining Gruyère cheese, and melted butter. Mix until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture generously over the shrimp and cream layer.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
