Ingredients

6 large buttery croissants, torn into large pieces

4 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon almond extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ cup chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate)

½ cup fresh berries (blueberries or raspberries)

Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Gently fold in the torn croissant pieces into the egg mixture, ensuring they’re well coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the croissants to absorb some of the mixture.

Add the chocolate chips and fresh berries to the croissant mixture, folding them in gently without breaking the berries.

Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center has set.

Allow the bake to cool for about 5 minutes before dusting generously with powdered sugar.
