Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup French onion soup mix (dry)

1/2 cup finely chopped onions

1/2 cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, French onion soup mix, finely chopped onions, milk, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and gently place it into the crockpot.

Cover the meatloaf with a layer of shredded Swiss cheese. Spread it evenly on top.

Pour an additional 1/2 cup of French onion soup on top of the cheese for extra flavor and moisture.

Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

Once cooked, carefully remove the meatloaf from the crockpot and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the meatloaf slices with the melted Swiss cheese on top, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and fresh flavor.
