1teaspoondried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, basil)
for garnishFresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Start by seasoning both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, and dried Italian herbs, stirring well to combine.
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them with the creamy sauce. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve with pasta or a side salad for a complete meal.
