Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Sear the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down. Sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked halfway through. Flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set it aside.

Make the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet (reduce heat to medium), add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Add Cheese and Herbs: Whisk in the Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard until smooth. Add the dried Italian herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine: Return the seared salmon to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

Serve: Garnish the dish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of freshness.
