2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

8 ounces fettuccine or your choice of pasta

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining, then set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta cooks, season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

      Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.

        Make the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

          Incorporate the Cream: Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently for another 2-3 minutes.

            Add Parmesan: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

              Combine Everything: Add in the cooked pasta and sliced chicken, tossing to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Stir in the Italian seasoning for added flavor.

                Serve: Scoop the pasta onto plates, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
