Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 cup spinach, fresh and chopped

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for cooking

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 4-5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Add Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the beef broth and bring to a light simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

Combine Pasta and Spinach: Add the cooked bowtie pasta and fresh spinach to the skillet. Toss everything together gently until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce and the spinach is wilted.

Finish with Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious creamy beef and bowtie pasta!
