Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup diced bell peppers (mixed colors)

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage (optional)

1 cup marinara sauce

Olive oil for greasing

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, baking powder, garlic powder, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth and well combined.

Grease a large baking sheet or pizza stone with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Pour the batter onto the greased sheet, spreading it out evenly to form a crust that is approximately ½ inch thick.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until it starts to turn golden brown.

Remove the crust from the oven and spread marinara sauce evenly over the top.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and then layer with diced bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, and crumbled sausage (if using).

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Once cooked, allow the pizza to cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4 slices

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve slices on a colorful platter with a side of extra marinara sauce for dipping. An optional sprinkle of chili flakes can add a touch of heat!
