1 lb cooked chicken, shredded

1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped

2-3 green onions, sliced

1 (28 oz) bag frozen tater tots

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Optional: 1/4 cup ranch seasoning mix

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, sliced green onions, garlic powder, and ranch seasoning (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Layering the Casserole: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the chicken mixture evenly on the bottom.

Top with Tater Tots: Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture, covering it completely.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with additional chopped green onions if desired before serving.
