Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

6 oz crab meat, drained and shredded

2 green onions, finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp soy sauce

1 package of wonton wrappers (about 30-40 pieces)

Vegetable oil, for frying

Sweet and sour sauce or sweet chili sauce, for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Mix until fully incorporated and creamy.

Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture into the center of the wrapper.

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, then press the edges to seal. For extra flair, crimp the edges using a fork or twist the corners together.

Repeat the filling and sealing process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot (around 350°F/175°C), carefully add a few Crab Rangoons at a time, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the rangoons and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve warm with dipping sauces such as sweet and sour sauce or sweet chili sauce for the perfect combination.
