Ingredients

3 slices of whole grain bread

4 oz sliced turkey breast

4 oz sliced ham

4 oz crispy bacon

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1 medium tomato, sliced

1/2 cup leaf romaine lettuce

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Toothpicks for assembly

Instructions

Start by toasting the whole grain bread slices until they are golden brown and crisp.

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until well combined. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Place one slice of toasted bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the mayonnaise mixture over the top.

Layer the bottom slice with half of the turkey breast and half of the ham. Then add a layer of romaine lettuce and a few slices of tomato.

Place the second slice of bread on top and spread the remaining mayonnaise mixture on one side.

On the second slice, layer the crispy bacon, sliced avocado, and the remaining turkey and ham. Add another layer of romaine and tomato.

Top with the third slice of toasted bread. Secure the sandwich with toothpicks at each corner to hold it together.

For easier eating, cut the sandwich into quarters diagonally.

Serve with extra lettuce and tomato on the side, if desired.
