Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for sprinkling)

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cups milk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon for the swirl.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, followed by half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, sprinkling it evenly over the batter. Then, pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Using a knife or a spatula, gently swirl through the batter a few times to create a marbled effect.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

While the bread cools, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.

Once the bread has cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over the top. Optionally, sprinkle additional cinnamon and sugar if desired.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes | Servings: 12 slices

                        - Presentation Tips: Slice the bread into thick pieces and serve warm with additional glaze on the side for dipping. Consider placing it on a rustic wooden board and garnishing with a sprinkle of cinnamon and some whole cinnamon sticks for a cozy presentation.
