Ingredients

1 large Italian hoagie roll or ciabatta bread

4 slices of salami

4 slices of pepperoni

4 slices of capicola ham

1/4 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1/4 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved

1 cup arugula or mixed greens

1/4 cup roasted red peppers, sliced

1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Pickled jalapeños or pepperoncini (optional for heat)

Instructions

Start by preparing the bread: Slice the Italian hoagie roll or ciabatta bread in half lengthwise. If you prefer, lightly toast the inside for added crunch.

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, a dash of salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture on the inside of the bread for extra flavor.

Layer the salami, pepperoni, and capicola ham on the bottom half of the sandwich for a hearty protein base.

Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese and add the halved mozzarella balls evenly over the cured meats.

Next, build a colorful layer with arugula and roasted red peppers for freshness. Add the halved cherry tomatoes for a sweet touch.

Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top of the veggies to add a rich, tangy flavor. If you enjoy a bit of heat, throw on some pickled jalapeños or pepperoncini.

Carefully place the top half of the bread on your loaded sandwich.

Use a sharp knife to press down gently and slice the sandwich into manageable pieces.

For best results, wrap the sandwich tightly in parchment paper and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes | Servings: 2

                      - Presentation Tips: Cut the sandwich diagonally and arrange the halves on a rustic wooden board. Garnish with a small bowl of extra balsamic glaze for dipping and a side of mixed olives for a colorful display. Enjoy!
