Ingredients

For the Brownies:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the Chocolate Covered Strawberries:

1 cup fresh strawberries, washed and dried

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

Prep the Brownies:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

      Make the Brownie Batter:

        - In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar.

          - Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

            - In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

              Bake the Brownies:

                - Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.

                  - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool in the pan.

                    Prepare the Chocolate Covered Strawberries:

                      - While the brownies are cooling, melt the chocolate chips. You can do this by placing them in a microwave-safe bowl and microwaving in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. If desired, add coconut oil to make the chocolate smoother.

                        Coat the Strawberries:

                          - Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the coated strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Once all strawberries are covered, place them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate.

                            Assemble:

                              - Once the brownies are completely cooled, cut them into squares. Top each brownie with a chocolate-covered strawberry just before serving.

                                Enjoy:

                                  - Serve your Chocolate Covered Strawberry Brownies at room temperature or slightly chilled for a delightful treat.
