Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

2 cups coleslaw mix (cabbage and carrots)

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

20 wonton wrappers

Cooking oil for frying

Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Prep the Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of cooking oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cook Chicken: Add ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Mixture: Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper. Mix in the coleslaw and green onions, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Prepare Wonton Wrappers: While the filling cools, heat oil in a deep pan or fryer until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Form the Tacos: Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to make a triangle, sealing the edges by pressing with your fingers or using a fork.

Fry the Tacos: Carefully place the filled wontons in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve: Plate the crispy wonton tacos and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves. Serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the tacos.

                Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the tacos stacked on a colorful plate, topped with extra green onions and a side of dipping sauce like sweet chili or sriracha for an added kick!
