4 chicken legs (drumsticks and thighs connected)

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easier cleanup and place a wire rack on top of it to allow the chicken to crisp up evenly.

    In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, black pepper, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

      Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness. Rub olive oil all over the chicken legs for added moisture and flavor.

        Dip each chicken leg into the honey garlic mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Reserve a small amount of the marinade for basting later.

          Place the coated chicken legs on the wire rack evenly spaced apart.

            Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, then carefully baste the chicken legs with the reserved marinade.

              Continue to bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken legs are golden brown and crispy, and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

                Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

                  Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty touch.
