Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green for color)

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cans crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: fresh herbs (parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced bell peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the package instructions.

For each triangle, place a generous tablespoon of the chicken mixture at the wider end of the triangle.

Starting from the wide end, carefully roll the dough over the filling towards the pointed end, tucking in the edges as you go to ensure the filling doesn't spill out.

Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops of the crescents with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed up.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
