1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

4 ounces thinly sliced ham

4 ounces Swiss cheese, cut into small pieces or shredded

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 large eggs

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnishing

Start by preparing the chicken: cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    Lay out a slice of ham and place a small piece of Swiss cheese in the center. Top with a piece of seasoned chicken, then fold the ham and cheese around the chicken to form a bite-sized bundle. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

      Set up a breading station:

        - Place the flour in one shallow dish.

          - Beat the eggs in a second shallow dish.

            - Pour the breadcrumbs into a third shallow dish.

              Dredge each chicken bundle in flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it in the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

                Heat about 1/2 inch of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot. Carefully add the breaded chicken bites to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes per side.

                  Once cooked, transfer the bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

                    If desired, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
