To make a tasty Chicken Alfredo Pasta Casserole, you need a few key ingredients. First, you will need cooked pasta. I like penne or rotini for this dish. Next, you'll want cooked chicken, which you can shred. Broccoli adds a nice crunch and color. Use either fresh or frozen broccoli florets.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini work well)

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the broccoli: In a pot of boiling water, lightly blanch the broccoli florets for about 2-3 minutes until vibrant green. Drain and set aside.

Cook the sauce: In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, allowing the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.

Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, blanched broccoli, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Pour the creamy sauce over the mixture and gently toss to combine.

Assemble the casserole: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Top with the remaining Parmesan cheese and the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil (to prevent over-browning) and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
