Ingredients

2 cups water

2 tablespoons loose Earl Grey tea (or 2 tea bags)

1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

1/2 cup cherries, pitted and chopped

1-2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Fresh cherries and a sprig of mint (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

Once boiling, remove from heat and add the loose Earl Grey tea or tea bags. Let steep for 4-5 minutes for a robust flavor.

While the tea is steeping, in a separate small saucepan, combine the chopped cherries and honey over medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cherries soften and release their juices.

Strain the cherry mixture through a sieve into a bowl, pressing down to extract as much juice as possible. You should have a beautiful cherry syrup. Set aside.

Once the tea has steeped, strain out the tea leaves or remove the tea bags. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and the cherry syrup to the brewed tea, stirring well to combine.

Taste the tea and adjust sweetness with more honey if desired. If you'd like it chilled, let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.

To serve, pour the Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea into glasses over ice or serve hot in teacups.

Top with whipped cream if desired, and garnish with a fresh cherry and a sprig of mint for an extra touch.
