Ingredients

2 cups leftover mac and cheese

1 cup crushed Cheetos (plus extra for topping)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional for added flavor)

1 large egg

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional)

Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or olive oil.

Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the leftover mac and cheese, crushed Cheetos, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (if using), egg, and chives. Stir until everything is well incorporated.

Form the Lava Bombs: Use your hands or a spoon to scoop out portions of the mixture and shape them into tight balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Make sure each ball is packed well so it holds its shape.

Add Extra Cheetos: Roll the formed lava bombs in the extra crushed Cheetos to coat the outside for an extra crunch and flavor.

Place in Muffin Tin: Arrange the coated lava bombs in the greased muffin tin, making sure they are spaced well apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and heated through.

Serve: Allow the lava bombs to cool for a few minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin tin. Serve them warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 12 lava bombs
