1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough

½ cup chopped green bell pepper

½ cup chopped onion

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salsa for dipping

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, sautéing until they are soft, about 3-4 minutes.

      Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.

        Stir in the taco seasoning and a little water (as per the packet instructions), mixing until well combined. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until all the flavors meld together.

          Remove the skillet from heat and stir in both the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and gooey.

            Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it on a clean surface. Pinch together any perforations to create a solid rectangle.

              Cut the dough into strips about 1.5 inches wide.

                Spoon a generous amount of the cheesy taco mixture onto one end of each dough strip. Roll it up tightly, sealing the edges to prevent the filling from leaking during baking.

                  Place the taco sticks seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

                    Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed.

                      Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
