Ingredients

4 large slices of crusty sourdough bread

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, dried herbs, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both sides of each slice of sourdough bread.

Place the bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes, until slightly golden and crispy.

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Layer the mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses generously over the top of each slice.

Return the cheesy bread to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.

Once out of the oven, let it cool for a minute before slicing into quarters for easy handling.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
