Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced (or any fruit of your choice)

2 tsp lemon juice

1/2 cup granola or crushed graham crackers (optional, for topping)

1 egg (to brush on top)

Optional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

Roll Out the Dough: Open the cans of crescent roll dough and unroll the triangles. Lay half of the crescent roll triangles at the bottom of the greased baking dish, pressing the seams together to create a uniform base.

Layer the Filling: Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough layer. Scatter the sliced strawberries evenly on top of the cream cheese.

Add Another Layer: Place the remaining crescent roll triangles over the strawberries, covering as much as possible. Spread the rest of the cream cheese filling on top.

Finishing Touches: If desired, sprinkle granola or crushed graham crackers over the top for added crunch. Beat the egg and brush it over the top layer of the casserole for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown and fully set.

Cool and Serve: Allow the casserole to cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing into squares. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm!
