3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup beef broth (low sodium)

Corn tortillas (for serving)

Prep the Beef: In a large mixing bowl, add the finely chopped beef chuck. Season with salt, pepper, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and oregano. Mix until the beef is well coated with the spices.

    Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-5 minutes.

      Cook the Beef: Add the seasoned beef to the skillet with the sautéed onions and garlic. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to brown the beef evenly.

        Add Broth: Pour in the beef broth, stirring well to combine. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the mixture is slightly thickened. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

          Warm the Tortillas: While the beef is simmering, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

            Assemble Tacos: To serve, take a warmed tortilla, add a generous portion of the carne picada, and top with freshly chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
