Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

4 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice or pasta (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Seafood: In a large bowl, combine shrimp and salmon pieces with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow it to marinate for 15 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Sear the Salmon: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove and set aside alongside the shrimp.

Prepare the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.

Add the Liquid Ingredients: Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, scraping the skillet to deglaze it, followed by the heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine well.

Finishing Touches: Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and allow it to cook for about 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly. Add lemon juice and season with additional Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.

Combine: Return the cooked shrimp and salmon to the skillet, coating them in the creamy sauce. Cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serve: Serve your Cajun shrimp and salmon over a bed of cooked rice or pasta, generously drizzled with the garlic cream sauce.
