Ingredients

4 hot dog buns

4 beef or pork sausages (your choice)

1 cup of mashed potatoes

1 cup of diced tomatoes

1/2 cup of finely chopped onions

1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup of sweet corn

1/4 cup of mayonnaise

1/4 cup of ketchup

1/4 cup of mustard

1 tablespoon of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Sausages: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the sausages until browned and heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Onions: In the same skillet, add chopped onions and sauté for about 3-4 minutes or until they become translucent. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: If using instant mashed potatoes, follow the package instructions; otherwise, boil peeled potatoes until fork-tender, then mash them, adding salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Hot Dogs: Place each cooked sausage in a bun. Top each hot dog with a generous scoop of mashed potatoes, followed by a layer of sautéed onions, diced tomatoes, sweet corn, and shredded cheddar cheese.

Add Condiments: Drizzle mayo, ketchup, and mustard generously over the top of each loaded hot dog.

Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle with chopped green onions for added flavor and freshness. Serve immediately while warm.
