Ingredients

1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 6-8 pounds)

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Whole cloves (optional, for decoration)

Fresh rosemary or thyme (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

Place the ham, cut side down, in a large roasting pan lined with aluminum foil. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, making shallow cuts about 1 inch apart.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and heated through, about 3-5 minutes.

Brush half of the glaze generously over the scored ham. If desired, insert whole cloves into the intersections of the score marks for decoration and extra flavor.

Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Baste the ham with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.

During the last 30 minutes of cooking, remove the foil to allow the glaze to caramelize and form a beautiful crust.

Once finished, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.

Serve warm garnished with sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme for an aromatic touch and added visual appeal.
