Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

½ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp salt

½ cup whole milk (warm to the touch)

¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup brown sugar (packed)

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter (softened, for filling)

Cream cheese frosting (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Prepare Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour as needed.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare Filling: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Roll Out Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 16x12 inches.

Spread Butter and Filling: Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture across the top.

Create the Rolls: Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seam to seal. Slice into 12-15 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the slices facing up in a greased baking dish. Cover again and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

Bake Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until they are golden brown on top.

Add Frosting: Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes, then drizzle with cream cheese frosting if desired.

Prep Time: 20 min | Total Time: 2 hr | Servings: 12-15 rolls
