Ingredients

1 French baguette, sliced into 1-inch thick pieces

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

4 ounces goat cheese, softened

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Arrange the slices of baguette on a baking sheet and brush the tops lightly with olive oil.

Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is golden and slightly crispy.

While the bread is toasting, prepare the strawberries. In a medium bowl, combine sliced strawberries, honey, and a pinch of salt, mixing gently to enhance their natural sweetness.

Once the toast is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Spread a generous layer of softened goat cheese on each slice of toasted baguette.

Top the goat cheese with the sweetened strawberries evenly across each toast.

Drizzle balsamic glaze over the strawberry and goat cheese to add an additional layer of flavor and richness.

Finish with fresh basil sprinkled on top and a dash of black pepper for added depth.
