Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

1/3 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, olive oil, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Marinate Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Sear Chicken: In a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, carefully add the marinated chicken thighs, skin side down. Sear for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.

Glaze and Bake: Flip the chicken thighs over and pour any leftover marinade on top. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is caramelized.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle with extra balsamic glaze if desired, and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve with your favorite sides.
