Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon, sliced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut two sheets of aluminum foil about 12 inches long. Place one salmon fillet in the center of each sheet.

Arrange the trimmed asparagus around the salmon fillets.

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Drizzle the olive oil mixture over the salmon and asparagus, ensuring everything is well coated.

Place lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets and asparagus.

Carefully fold the aluminum foil over the fish and vegetables, sealing it tightly to create a packet.

Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender.

Remove from the oven, carefully open the packets (watch out for steam), and transfer to serving plates.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

                      Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the salmon and asparagus directly in the foil packets for a rustic look, or plate them elegantly on a dish with a lemon wedge for an added touch.
