Ingredients

2 pounds of king crab legs (or snow crab legs)

1/2 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Crab Legs: If your crab legs are frozen, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight or run them under cold water for about 30 minutes. Using kitchen shears, cut the tops of the shells lengthwise to make them easier to eat later.

Make the Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add Seasoning: Stir in the lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes on low heat.

Arrange the Crab Legs: Place the crab legs in a large baking dish, preferably in a single layer. Pour half of the butter sauce over the crab legs, making sure they are well-coated.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (to retain moisture) and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Broil for Extra Flavor: After 15 minutes, remove the foil and spoon the remaining butter sauce over the crab legs. Switch the oven to broil and broil for an additional 5-7 minutes or until they start to brown and get crispy on the edges.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
