Ingredients

4 everything bagels, cut into cubes

8 large eggs

2 cups milk (whole or 2%)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped (or sausage, if preferred)

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green for color)

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

Add the bagel cubes into the egg mixture, making sure they are well-coated. Let it sit for about 5 minutes so the bagels can absorb some of the liquid.

Fold in the chopped bacon, diced bell peppers, green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture.

Pour the entire mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before slicing and serving.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 6
