Ingredients

10 large jalapeño peppers

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 5-6 slices)

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

10 slices of bacon, cut in half

Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray or olive oil.

Prepare the Jalapeños: Carefully slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (use gloves to avoid pepper burn). This will help reduce the heat level.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Peppers: Using a small spoon or a piping bag, generously fill each jalapeño half with the cheese and bacon mixture.

Wrap with Bacon: Take a half slice of bacon and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeño, securing it with a toothpick if necessary. Make sure the ends of the bacon are tucked underneath.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they have space between them for even cooking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly. If you want extra crispiness, you can broil them for the last 2-3 minutes, but watch carefully to avoid burning.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or sour cream.

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 40 mins | Servings: 10 halves (5 jalapeños)
