Ingredients

1 pound lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 large egg, beaten

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

2 green onions, finely chopped

1/2 red bell pepper, finely diced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Cooking spray or olive oil for spraying

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Old Bay seasoning.

Gently fold in the chopped green onions and diced red bell pepper, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, roughly the size of a golf ball, then gently flatten them into cakes about 1/2 inch thick.

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Place the crab cakes in the air fryer in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cook the crab cakes for about 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Once done, carefully remove the crab cakes from the air fryer and keep warm until ready to serve.
