Ingredients

4 medium-sized russet potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, bacon bits

Instructions

Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub the russet potatoes thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

Pierce and Season: Using a fork, pierce each potato 6-8 times all over to allow steam to escape during cooking. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over each potato to ensure they are evenly coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

Air Fry the Potatoes: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not touching to allow for optimal air circulation. Cook for 35-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.

Check for Doneness: The potatoes are done when they feel tender when pierced with a fork and have a crispy skin. If needed, you can cook them for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Serve: Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer. Let them cool for a couple of minutes, then slice them open and fluff the insides with a fork. Add your favorite toppings like sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, or bacon bits.
